Crazy Hat Day

Shae came home from school and was very excited that the next day would be crazy hat day in kindergarten. She told me she wanted to make her hat. She knew exactly what she needed and what she wanted it to look like.

Can you tell that she is excited about the hat?

First Snow Fall

The kids woke up this morning excited to see snow on the ground. As soon as they had their breakfast, and the mandatory cup of hot cocoa, they put on their winter gear and headed outside. They were sure that it must be close to Christmas since it had snowed.

Here are the kids ready to play in the snow. It was only 7:30 in the morning when this picture was taken. Our poor neighbors!

Bodell thought we needed to take a picture of or dog "Buddy." I think he was as excited as the kids to play in the snow. He must have ran thirty laps around our yard. He kept trying to attack the snow.

Halloween 2008

The kids had a great time this year at Halloween. The weather was beautiful. We went trick-or-treating to our neighborhood and then stopped at family houses (where the kids were spoiled with way too much stuff.) Brigham especially got into trick-or-treating this year. He ran from house to house to get more candy. By the end of the night the kids were exhausted. Shae fell asleep while we were stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

The cute trick-or-treaters!

Brigham the cowboy. At the beginning of the month Brigham was telling everyone that he was going to be a witch for Halloween. I told him that witches were girls. He quickly changed and said he wanted to be a "towboy." Yee-Haw! When we were getting ready to leave Brigham was jealous that his sisters were getting their faces painted, so we had to add some whiskers to his face.

Shae the Hula girl. Shae received this costume from Grandma and Grandpa's trip to Hawaii.

Bodell the witch. This is Bodell's third time being a witch. She wanted me to add to this post that while we were tick-or-treating someone came and stole our jack-o-lanterns. We are going to get them next year!

We stopped at Great Grandma's house to trick-or-treat. She was looking very festive in her witch hat.

Elementary School Halloween

The kids had a great time at their school parties. Shae thought that it was the best day of school yet.

Shae during her costume parade. Notice how nicely her arms are folded. (She is a much more quiet child at school than at home.)

Three cheers for school parties!!!

Halloween Party

Josh and I were invited to a Halloween party this year. Here are our costumes. Can you guess what we are?

Upper and Lower GI (as in GI tract). No one guessed our costumes, but we did win most original.

Applesauce Crew

My Grandma and Aunt Susanne helped me bottle applesauce for the first time. I was excited to learn the process, but mostly I enjoyed spending time with them. Thanks Grandma and Susanne!

The whole APPLESAUCE CREW! Brigham liked to the take the long skin peelings and pretend they were trains. Shae was there too, but she is taking the picture. She did a good job. (Wow- that belly of mine is distracting.)
