It's Done!

Back in May we started the process of ordering our vinyl fence. It Has taken us six months to get the materials and install the fence. But I am SO HAPPY to report that it is finally complete. It looks great. Josh did an amazing job (not without his fair share of swear words!)

Look at the frustration on his face. A couple four letter words had just been used that I will not repeat here. We learned that measurements can magically change on you when building a fence.

Afternoon at White Rocks

We met some friends at White rocks to let the kids go exploring. We wanted to take advantage of our beautiful fall weather as much as possible! I am afraid it is not going to last much longer.

The kids decided to put on a play for us. Bodell was the director.

Curtain Call!

All of us at the top of the tower.

A boy thing?

Having two girls first, it has been a whole new experience potty training a boy. I think I can safely say that Brigham is potty trained- (can I get a Hallelujah!!!) However I can't get over the need to pee wherever we are. Of course the girls would never think of peeing outside. Actually Bodell tried once when she was younger after watching her cousin Cole pee outside. It took only one mess and she realized that was not fun. Brigham thinks that going outside is definitely more fun than going inside. I wouldn't mind it so much if he just went in the backyard. However, yesterday I had to run in Bodell's school. I parked the car in the school drop-off area (right in front of the school.) I told the kids to stay in the car. I was in the school for two minutes. When I came out there was a new puddle right by the car. Shae was laughing hysterically. She told me that Brigham had climbed out of the car, dropped his pants and went to the bathroom facing all the cars that were driving through to drop-off and pick-up their kids from gymnastics. Hopefully those that saw have boys and understand. The peeing fun continues: Last night I was cooking dinner. The kids were rollerblading and riding bikes in the garage. Then I heard Bodell yelling that Brigham was peeing. I look out and sure enough there was a big puddle on the garage floor. Then he thought it would be great fun to ride his bike through the newly made puddle! BOYS!

Veteran's Day

Bodell's second grade put on a Veteran's Day program. The kids did a great job!

Crazy Hat Day

Shae came home from school and was very excited that the next day would be crazy hat day in kindergarten. She told me she wanted to make her hat. She knew exactly what she needed and what she wanted it to look like.

Can you tell that she is excited about the hat?

First Snow Fall

The kids woke up this morning excited to see snow on the ground. As soon as they had their breakfast, and the mandatory cup of hot cocoa, they put on their winter gear and headed outside. They were sure that it must be close to Christmas since it had snowed.

Here are the kids ready to play in the snow. It was only 7:30 in the morning when this picture was taken. Our poor neighbors!

Bodell thought we needed to take a picture of or dog "Buddy." I think he was as excited as the kids to play in the snow. He must have ran thirty laps around our yard. He kept trying to attack the snow.
