Andrew is four Months!

Andrew is four months. I can't believe it has been another month. He is growing up so quickly (I think I have said that at every post about him... but it is still true.) He seems to get more and more fun with each passing month. He loves to interact with you. He likes to squeal and make noises with his mouth. He LOVES his hands. They are always in his mouth. I have seen him try and put both fists in his mouth at the same time. He is such a smiley guy. He is also laughing a lot more and is much more ticklish. The girls love to try and make him laugh. He can roll over now from his back to his stomach and is getting a little more coordinated with his reaching. He seems to be regressing on his sleeping. He was a better sleeper at night a couple of months ago, but I can't complain because he is such an easy-going baby during the day.

I liked Erin's idea of taking a picture in just a diaper and with clothes, so I had to copy you Erin.

Andrew started cereal this week. The girls have been counting down until the time they could feed him cereal. Bodell wanted to be the first one. Andrew ate up all the attention he got from eating the cereal, but didn't care too much for the cereal itself.

Andrew and the captivating audience.

...I am LIGHTNING!

The girls participated in a track camp sponsored by the High School track team. They loved it. They were very sad when it was over. To show-off their new skills they had a track meet the last day. It was so fun to see how intense all the kids were. Bodell and Shae did great. They were so proud of the medals that they won. They are already looking forward to next year.

I see visions of the Olympics!

The track meet went until 11:30 at night. You would have never guessed how late it was by looking at the energy of all the kids. They were running around in circles until the very end. I can't say the same for all the parents.

Presley did great in the track meet. Here she is posing on the platform with her gold medal for the hurdles. She must take after her aunt Andrea!

Worn out!

This is how I found Brigham the other day, upside-down and asleep. The poor boy just goes and goes and goes until finally at the end of the day he just crashes wherever he happens to take a moment to relax.

Doesn't that look comfortable?

Last Day of School

Both Bodell and Shae had great school years this year.
Shae loved her teacher Mrs. Redd. I was amazed at everything Shae learned this year. She started kindergarten knowing her alphabet and letter sounds. She came out of kindergarten a great reader. I am so proud of her. Great Job!

Bodell loved second grade and her teacher Ms. Williams. Bodell loved the freedom of reading whatever she wanted for homework. Her reading fluency and speed really took off this year. It is great to see her so excited about books. I think you're awesome Bodell!

Shae Is 6

Shae is 6 years old! She is such a joy to have around. Life is never dull when she is near. At the dinner table there is rarely silence. She always has some story to tell or a joke. I always wonder what is going on in her brain while we are praying because she will start talking IMMEDIATELY after we have said "amen" after the prayer. It must kill her to have to stay silent for those few seconds. Shae's big accomplishment lately is she learned to ride her bike without training wheels. Like everything else, she wanted to do it HER way. We kept telling her that she was going to have to crash a couple of times in order to learn, but she wouldn't go for that. So we put her training wheels on VERY loosely. Finally one of the them fell off. She learned to balance on one side of the bike so that she could still use the good training wheel. It was quite a funny site to see. After riding like that for a while, she agreed to let us take off her other training wheel. When she got on the bike, she just took off. I guess she showed us that you can learn without crashing. She LOVES to ride her bike now with Bodell. I love Shae's beautiful contagious smile and the way she is so animated when she tells a story. One of my favorite sounds to hear is to listen to Bodell and Shae telling stories and laughing to each other after I have to turned off the lights for bedtime. Shae I love you tons and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Shae wanted a water party for her birthday party. Unfortunately it was cool and rainy on her birthday, but we still did the water activities.

Shae playing squirt-gun duck, duck, goose.

The kids also played sponge tag, had an obstacle course through the sprinklers and did a fish pond. After the kids' party Grandma, Grandpa and Great-Grandma came over for dinner.

Shae LOVES cats. Here is her birthday cake.

Because Shae loves cats so much, we surprised her with....

THIS! Introducing Max the cat. Shae was so excited. She loves him. He has been a great cat and I think that he is about on his ninth life between the dog and Brigham.

Cottonwood

The girls had lots of parties and field trips the last week of school. Both Bodell and Shae went to cottonwood for one of their field trips. We went with them both times. Unfortunately we had had a dry spring so the water was no longer running, but the kids still had a great time. Brigham especially thought it was great. I am always amazed that Brigham does not get at all intimidated by the big kids. I think he really thinks he belongs with them.

The day that the kindergartners went to cottonwood was Shae's birthday. What a great way to celebrate!

Mom..do I have to pose for one more picture? I am busy working in the dirt here.
